Nasstar’s cloud services are operated from multiple UK data centres.

Our primary data centres are based in London and Southampton, providing a geographically diverse infrastructure.

In addition Nasstar operates services from two other data centres providing network resilience and for data archiving purposes.

UK data centres were chosen to ensure that all data remains located within the UK and complies with EU data protection regulations. The two primary data centres are sufficiently far apart to satisfy the most stringent disaster recovery requirements.

The London data centre is operated by Level 3 Communications and Nasstar has a co-location agreement for its own caged and segregated suite. Nasstar owns and operates the racks and equipment and pays a rental for the floor space and power. The London data centre, is one of the largest data centres in Europe and boasts many blue chip tenants. Level 3 Communications is one of only six Tier 1 Internet providers in the world. As a major worldwide communications company, Level 3 Communications operates 350 data centres across Europe, North America and Latin America.

The second data centre is located at our HQ Datapoint House in Telford and represents a £5million investment built to Tier 3 standards.  The data centre is dedicated to the Nasstar plc group for the delivery of hosted desktop services. For further information on the Datapoint House data centre see

Our third UK data centre site is in Brick Lane, London. This site provides additional links and connectivity for our network which we are continuing to expand having joined the London Internet Exchange in 2012.

All three data centres are connected by a resilient 10GB ring allowing the group to deliver services from diverse locations around the UK as required.
